GERARDANDALICE

I am Annick Onderdonck (1965), a Belgian contemporary artist who graduated in different disciplines from the academy of fine arts.

Until today I develop my drawing skills at the academy in my hometown Eeklo. I took art history classes and during my graphic education I specialized in etching and wood engraving and linography. Works from this period now partially belong to private collections. Later drawing studies of nudes and portraits form the fundamentals of my further work. At the same time the philosophy behind my way of teaching arose. Private lessons can be followed in my atelier where I teach the techniques I know, according to your preference. Currently I paint with watercolor, acrylic and oil paint. Pastels (pan, soft, oil) and charcoal remain my favorite materials.

My work often arises from my fascination with photography for which I use my own models and carefully selected photographic material. Nevertheless, a strong photo of friends or family will not escape my eye and will be used upon permission.
